Poetry: …Somewhere Between Reality (And What You See)

…Somewhere Between Reality (And What You See)

I live in a cake
As sweet as almonds
I lie on a bed so mellow
As soft as titanium

These flowing oceans
Have never been so dry
All these bright lights
In a room filled with gloom

If heaven is cold
Surely it is hell
So much air
Still we die of asphyxiation

So much comfort
I dread its overdose
So much love
I suffocate in hate

The insane now attends to shrinks
Hallowed shrinks now patients of their patients
Every truth is a glamorous lie
On earth all we see are not real.

When the doors of perceptions are cleansed, man would see things as they truly are, infinite- Aldous Huxley
